Summer Spice broke his maiden by a nose with an exciting closing finish at Fair Grounds on March 24 over 1 1/16 miles on the turf. Summer Spice is a 2013 gelding by Discreetly Mine and out of Stone Farm mare Summer Savory. Trained by Mike Stidham and ridden by Robby Albarado.

Midnight Moonlight (Midnight Lute/ Ocean Moon, 2014 g.) broke his maiden by 6 1/2 lengths at Fair Grounds going 1 mile on the dirt for partners Stone Farm & John Adger. Midnight Moonlight is trained by Mike Stidham and was ridden by jockey Miguel Mena.

ASCEND (g, 4, Candy Ride {Arg}–Ghost Dancing {SW, $163,897}, by Silver Ghost) kicked off 2016 with a maiden score going seven furlongs on dirt at Gulfstream and has lived up to his name, steadily climbing through the class ranks throughout the year.

In Wednesday’s featured $66,000 Mill Ridge Purse, Stone Farm and Madaket Stables’ favored Ascend prevailed in a deep stretch duel over second-choice Western Reserve by a length to win the allowance race for 3-year-olds and up before a crowd of 10,924.

Stone Farm had two winners on Saturday both with trainer Michael Stidham. In an exciting finish at Churchill Downs in Race 5, Trend won by a head over 1 1/16 miles on the turf under Julien Leparoux, clenching back to back wins and updating his record to 2 wins and 3 places in his 6 starts as a 9yo.

In the 4th race at Arlington Park on May 27, Trend tracked the pace in behind and inside a rival but just off the fence, angled three wide in upper stretch for room with aim on the leader and under prolonged urging from jockey Jose Valdivia

ASCEND (g, 4, Candy Ride {Arg}–Ghost Dancing {SW, $163,897}, by Silver Ghost), off the board in his first two attempts on both dirt and turf, just missed getting his diploma in a nine-panel turf test at Saratoga Aug. 29 and was a close second once again over this course Oct. 4.

MONTEGO BAY chased outside then moved up four wide on the backstretch and into the second turn, continued three deep through that turn and into the stretch, bid outside the runner-up to gain the lead in midstretch and gamely prevailed under urging.

ASCEND (g, 4, Candy Ride {Arg}–Ghost Dancing {SW, $163,897}, by Silver Ghost) reported home fourth sprinting at first asking at Delaware June 3, but dropped a spot trying a grassy mile at the Spa Aug. 8.
