Wearing blinkers for the first time, Stone Farm raised and sold SHE FEELS PRETTY rolled to an impressive win for owner Lael Stables in the G1 Queen Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Keeneland on Oct. 12. The 3-year-old daughter of of Karakontie chased the pace early in the 1 1/8-mile race, then blew by the leaders at the top of the stretch to win by an easy six lengths.
Trained by Cherie DeVaux, SHE FEELS PRETTY won last year’s GI Natalma Stakes last year as a 2-year-old in Canada and was a narrowly beaten third in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf in her next start. She opened 2024 with a win in the May 17 Hilltop Stakes and placed in two other graded stakes prior to this dominant win at Keeneland.
Raised and sold by Stone Farm, SHE FEELS PRETTY was bred in Kentucky by Payson Stud. One of two winners out of the More Than Ready mare Summer Sweet, she was purchased from Stone Farm by Lael Stables for $240,000 at the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
