SHE FEELS PRETTY and PARCHMENT PARTY Post Headline Wins at Belmont Stakes Racing Festival

One day after DONEGAL MOMENTUN won the $300,000 Poker S.-G3 by daylight (see previous post for details), Pin Oak Stud’s PARCHMENT PARTY scored a definitive victory in the $250,000 Belmont Gold Cup S.  Two races later,  Lael Stables’ SHE FEELS PRETTY dug in for a win in the $750,000 New York S.-G1, and ALL three added-money winners were foaled and raised at Stone Farm.

The Belmont Gold Cup marked the first stakes win for PARCHMENT PARTY. The 4-year-old son of Constitution won the 1 3/4-mile race by an impressive 8 1/2 lengths.  Bred by B. Flay Thoroughbreds, PARCHMENT PARTY was purchased by Pin Oak owners Jim and Dana Bernhard from Stone Farm’s 2022 Keeneland September Yearling Consignment.  He is out of the Tiz Now mare Life Well Lived and has three wins and two placings to date.

SHE FEELS PRETTY now has three Grade 1 wins on her resume:  the New York S., the American Oaks, and the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup.  The daughter of  Karakontie was also purchased from Stone Farm’s 2022 consignment on behalf of owners Gretchen and Roy Jackson. Out of Summer Sweet by More Than Ready, SHE FEELS PRETTY was bred by Virginia Kraft Payson’s Payson Stud. She has seven wins and three placings in ten starts and has amassed earnings of more than $1.7 million.
