Consecutive Grade 1 Wins for SHE FEELS PRETTY

Stone Farm raised and sold SHE FEELS PRETTY posted a comfortable 2 1/2-length win in the 1 1/4-mile American Oaks-G1 at Santa Anita on December 26.  The victory marked her second consecutive Grade 1 win, and her impressive performance cemented everyone’s suspicions about her immense talent.  Winner of the G1 Queen Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Keeneland last time out, the 4-year-old daughter of  Karakontie seemed ready to run from the start.  She settled for jockey John Velazquez and when asked to run she took the lead and sprinted to the wire.

Racing for Lael Stables and trained by Cherie DeVaux, SHE FEELS PRETTY won last year’s G1 Natalma Stakes last year as a 2-year-old in Canada and was a narrowly beaten third in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf in her next start. She opened 2024 with a win in the May 17 Hilltop Stakes and placed in two other graded stakes prior to her consecutive Grade 1 wins.

Raised and sold by Stone Farm, SHE FEELS PRETTY was bred in Kentucky by Payson Stud. One of two winners out of the More Than Ready mare Summer Sweet, she was purchased from Stone Farm by her owners for $240,000 at the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
