Stone Farm: For half of a century.
If you take care of the land,
the land will take care of you.
We’re trying to raise you a good horse.
We sell only what we raise.
Looking for her first graded stakes win in the 1 3/8-mile Red Carpet S.-G3, Stone Farm raised MRS. ASTOR settled off the pace, moved into contention in the turn, took the lead at the top of the stretch, and then held off a late challenge by favorite Forever After All to win by by a length.
A homebred racing for George Strawbridge’s Augustin Stable, the 4-year-old filly had finished fourth in Keeneland’s Dowager S.-G3 in her previous outing. Trained by Jonathon Thomas, MRS. ASTOR is by Lookin At Lucky out of the Creative Cause mare Casual. To date, she has won or placed in 10 of 15 starts, including a third-placed finished in the Regret S.-G3 at Churchill Downs last year.
