the land will take care of you.

We’re trying to raise you a good horse.

We sell only what we raise.

John Ed Anthony is hoping for a win in the Kentucky Oaks-G1 when homebred QUIETSIDE enters the starting gate on Friday, May 2. Foaled and raised at Stone Farm for Anthony’s Shortleaf Stable, the 3-year-old daughter of Malibu Moon has the most qualifying points of any filly in race, thanks in large part to wins in the Fantasy S.-G2 and Honeybee S.-G3 earlier this year.
Expected to be the third choice in the betting pool, QUIETSIDE will break from the outside post. As a 2-year-old, QUIETSIDE won her debut at Saratoga then placed in three consecutive graded stakes inlcuidng the the Golden Rod S.-G2 at Churchill Downs. She is out the Speightstown mare Benner Island, who was G1-placed and also winner of the 2017 Eight Belles S.-G2 at Churchill Downs. QUIETSIDE has three wins and four placings in seven starts for earnings of $957,000.
