Just days after MRS. ASTOR posted her first graded stakes win in the Red Carpet S.-kG2 at Del Mar, another Augustin Stables homebred won a Del Mar feature race when TRULY QUALITY  posted a determined win the Hollywood Turf Cup-G2.  Both horses were bred in the name of George Strawbridge’s Augustin Stable and both were raised at Stone Farm.

TRULY QUALITY, a 4-year-old gelding by Quality Road out of the Smart Strike mare Truly Together, has made eight starts this year winning four times and placing four times.  Trained by Jonathan Thomas, he won a black type race at Colonial Downs in early Septemmber and then shipped to Woodbine where he defeated 13 rivals in the 1 3/8-mile Singsspiel S.-G3 in October.  In the November 29 Hollywood Turf Cup-G2, TRULY QUALITY took the lead at the top the of the stretch then held off a late charge from Balnikhov to win by a half length.
