Sale Topper Raised at Stone Farm Earns "Rising Star" Status in Racing Debut

2022 Saratoga Sale Topper SEDONA broke her maiden at first asking at going seven furlongs at Gulfstream on March 3.  The 3-year-old filly came from off the pace, went wide at the top stretch, then posted an impressive rally to win the race and earn a “TDN Rising Star” designation.

Bred by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, SEDONA is by Curling out the A.P. Indy mare America.  Raised and sold by Stone Farm, she was purchased as a yearling by Woodford Racing, LLC, West Point Thoroughbreds and 3C Stable for $2,000,000.  She races for Woodford and West Point in partnership with Chris Larson and is conditioned by Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey.
