Stone Farm Raised $2 Million Filly Tops Saratoga Sale

The sale-topping filly at the recently concluded Saratoga Select yearling sale was foaled, raised, and sold by Stone Farm. A daughter of Curlin out of the graded stakes-winning A.P. Indy mare America, the filly was bred by celebrity chef Bobby Flay and is full sister to 2022 Graded stakes winner First Captain.

The filly was purchased by West Point Thoroughbreds, Woodford Racing, and 3C Stable for final bid of $2,000,000.  It was first time since 2005 that a filly had brought that much at the historic sale.

Here’s the Thoroughbred Daily News coverage of the event.
