Just days after MRS. ASTOR posted her first graded stakes win in the Red Carpet S.-kG2 at Del Mar, another Augustin Stables homebred won a Del Mar feature race when TRULY QUALITY posted a determined win the Hollywood Turf Cup-G2. Both horses were bred in the name of George Strawbridge’s Augustin Stable and both were raised at Stone Farm.

MRS. ASTOR Wins Red Carpet Stakes at Del Mar
Looking for her first graded stakes win in the 1 3/8-mile Red Carpet S.-G3, Stone Farm raised MRS. ASTOR settled off the pace, moved into contention in the turn, took the lead at the top of the stretch, and then held off a late challenge by favorite Forever After All to win by by a length.
SHE FEELS PRETTY Scores Grade 1 Win at Keeneland
Wearing blinkers for the first time, Stone Farm raised and sold SHE FEELS PRETTY rolled to an impressive win for owner Lael Stables in the G1 Queen Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Keeneland on Oct. 12. The 3-year-old daughter of of Karakontie chased the pace early in the 1 1/8-mile race, then blew by the leaders at the top of the stretch to win by an easy six lengths.
Stone Farm Consigns $2.1 Million Keeneland November Sale Topper
At at the recently concluded Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, Stone Farm consigned and sold the top priced mare of the sale for owner Bobby Flay. WHITE HOT (IRE), a 10-year-old daughter of top international sire Galileo, was bought by BBA Ireland for $2.1 million during the opening day of the sale and is in foal to perennial leading sire Into Mischief.

Stone Farm raised and sold SHE FEELS PRETTY finished a strong third in the $1 Million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf -G1 on day one of the Breeders’ Cup World Championship at Santa Anita. Racing for Lael Stables, the 2-year-old daughter of of Katakontie finished behind HARD TO JUSTIFY and PORTA FORTUNA by a half-length and head. The race was the third career start for SHE FEELS PRETTY.
SHE FEELS PRETTY Wins Woodbine’s G1 Natalma Stakes in Second Start
Lael Stables’ SHE FEELS PRETTY unleashed a powerful kick in the stretch to post a 4 1/2-length win in the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine on Sept. 16. The 2-year-old daughter of Karakontie completed the mile on turf in 1:35.34 – a time slightly faster than colt Carson’s Run posted in the Grade 1 Summer Stakes on the same card. SHE FEELS PRETTY’s victory marked the first Grade 1 win for her trainer Cheryl DeVau.

Stone Farm Raised Runners Earn Blacktype Two Days Apart.
On Aug. 25, 2-year-old TIPSY TALES won the Canadian Juvenile S. going six furlongs on the dirt at Century Mile in Canada Two days later, 4-year-old MOUFFY (pictured left) won the Ellis Park Turf Stakes going 1 1/16 miles on the grass. The victories marked the first blacktype wins for the Stone Farm raised runners.
WHELEN SPRINGS Wins G3 Iselin Stakes for Owner/Breeder Shortleaf Stable
A homebred racing for John Ed Anthony’s Shortleaf Stable, Whelen Springs won the 1 1/16-mile Iselin Stakes-G3 at Monmouth Park by a half-length after a contintious stretch. Winner of two stakes at Oaklawn Park in 2022, the 4-year-old colt had run second in the Monmouth Cup Stakes-G3 last time out. His victory in the Iselin marked his first Graded stakes win and also the first Graded stakes win for his trainer, Lindsay Schultz.
