Journalist Chris McGrath sat down with Arthur Hancock as a part of the on-going Equine Oral History Project entitled Life’s Work, which is a part of the Louis B. Nunn Center for Oral History at the University of Kentucky. The Nunn Center has been recognized around the world as a leader and innovator in the collection and preservation of oral histories.
In this interview, Hancock reflects on the process of building Stone Farm after leaving his family’s historic Claiborne Farm following the death of his father. In addition, he discusses some of the Champions raised at the farm, including Horse-of-the-Year Sunday Silence as well as Kentucky Derby winners Gato Del Sol and Fusaichi Pegasus. The interview was released in 2020.
