In the final days of 2024, Stone Farm raised JENKIN won $175,000 Year’s End Stakes on December 29 at Oaklawn. The race was the first stakes attempt for the juvenile daughter of Mineshaft, and she ended the season with a three-quarter length win in the one mile race. JENKIN was coming off a maiden special win on December 6, also at Oaklawn, which marked the fiilly’s two-turn debut.
The first stakes win for trainer Lindsay Schultz, JENKIN is a homebred racing for John Ed Anthony’s Shortleaf Stable. Her victory was a remarkable feat for Anthony – marking a record 296 career wins at Oaklawn for the renowned Arkansas native.
Foaled and raised at Stone Farm, JENKIN is out of Morning Coffee, a stakes-winning daughter of QUIET AMERICAN. To date, she has two wins and a placing in four her four starts at two.
