2023 Karakontie (JPN) – Summer Sweet
Raised and sold by Stone Farm, Lael Stables' SHE FEELS PRETTY broke her maiden in her first start at two, winning a 5 1/2-furlong race on the turf at Woodbine by neck. In her next start, the 2-year-old filly took on a field of 14 and unleashed a powerful kick in the stretch to win the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes by an impressive a 4 1/2. Her time for the mile was 1:35.34 – which was slightly faster than colt Carson's Run posted in the Grade 1 Summer Stakes on the same card that day at Woodbine and was a narrowly beaten third in the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf in her next start.
She opened 2024 with a win in the May 17 Hilltop Stakes and placed in two other graded stakes prior to winning the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge-G1 at Keeneland and the American Oaks-G1 at Santa Anita in consecutive starts.
At four, SHE FEELS PRETTY won her seasonal debut taking the Modesty S.-G3 at Churchill on Kentucky Oaks day. She won the New York S.-G1 in her next start and then placed by a head in the Diana S.-G1 both at Saratoga. She followed that with a win in the E.P. Taylor S.-G1 and then finished out the year running second again in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf-G1. The strength of performances earned her the 2025 Eclipse Award as Champion Turf Mare.
