Augustin Stable’s homebred Theodora B. held off a late charge to win the $500,000 TVG Stakes at Kentucky Downs in Franklin, Ky. on Sept. 20. Raised at Stone Farm for breeder/owner George Strawbridge, Theodora B. won 1 5/16-mile race by three-quarters of a length over a good course. As the field turned for home the daughter of Ghostzapper was in front by 2 1/2 lengths when favorite Miss Sippy began to make her move. Theodora B. dug in for the win holding off the made her move, but Theodora B. dug in to hold that rival at bay.

This victory  was the second consecutive stakes win for  Theordora B. In her last start, she led all the way to win Woodbine’s Dance Smartly S.-G2. Theodora B. now has six wins from 18 starts with five seconds and three thirds.and career earnings of $647,911.
